Cleaning Non-Glass Components
To keep exterior vinyl and Fibrex® material surfaces looking like new, or to remove unsightly scuffs and marks, follow the cleaning recommendations below.
When cleaning vinyl or Fibrex® material, use a soft cloth.
The cleaners / solvents listed below are acceptable for use when cleaning vinyl or Fibrex material at ambient temperature conditions. Other cleaners can have abrasives that can scratch or chemicals that can damage and cause performance or aesthetic issues to the finish.
- Mild-soap and Water
- Formula 409® Cleaner
- Soft Scrub® Cleaner
- Glass Plus® Cleaner
- Windex® Glass Cleaner (SC Johnson & Son, Inc.)
- Mr. Clean® Cleaner
- Fantastik® Cleaner
Important:
Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents as they may cause damage to the unit
Do not use ketones (MEK, MIBK) or xylene as a surface conditioner for cleaning the Fibrex® material surface
Do not use newspaper to dry the glass surface as the ink may discolor the surrounding Fibrex® material
