ABOUT JARED ALLEN'S HOMES FOR WOUNDED WARRIORS
Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors (JAH4WW) was formed in October of 2009 by retired Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen after he returned home from his USO trip to US Military Bases in the Middle East. Jared was moved by the commitment, dedication, and sacrifices that our soldiers make every day to protect our freedom and recognized the gap in what is provided for our wounded veterans when they returned home. The long road to recovery not only begins when they leave the confines of the hospital, but when they return to their homes to begin a sense of normality. Upon return, many of our wounded vets face new obstacles by simply navigating their lives in their own homes. These changes can be daunting, costly and take significant time to adjust.
This is what inspires Jaren Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors to build injury-specific, accessible, and mortgage-free homes for our critically injured United States Military Veterans returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan. Together, with donors and volunteers, JAH4WW helps make life for wounded vets just a little bit easier.
